Book Review: Falling Away by Penelope Douglas

Title: Falling Away (Fall Away #3)
Author: Penelope Douglas
Published Date: January 6, 2015
Genre: Roman, Contemporary

Jaxon is the guy she’s supposed to avoid.
K.C. is the girl he won’t let get away....
K. C. Carter has always followed the rules—until this year, when a mistake leaves her the talk of her college campus and her carefully arranged life comes crashing to a halt. Now she’s stuck in her small hometown for the summer to complete her court-ordered community service, and to make matters worse, trouble is living right next door.
Jaxon Trent is the worst kind of temptation and exactly what K.C. was supposed to stay away from in high school. But he never forgot her. She was the one girl who wouldn’t give him the time of day and the only one to ever say no. Fate has brought K.C. back into his life—except what he thought was a great twist of luck turns out to be too close for comfort. As the bond between them grows, he discovers that convincing K.C. to get out from her mother’s shadow is hard, but revealing the darkest parts of his soul is nearly impossible.…
“Bite me, hit me, scream at me. I don't care. I want to feel it. Fucking hurt me, K.C. Let me see you.”

What the hell did K.C. do? Why the hell did she end up in Shelburne Falls and live next to Jaxon Trent? Do we really know who Jaxon Trent is? Who is Juliet?
Of course, we all hated K.C. in Bully (Fall Away #1) for what she did with Tate, but this book will reveal the reason behind "that" stunt she pulled in which she almost lost her best friend. With Jax, well he is the silent-but-dangerous kind of guy who freaking quotes Shakespeare! Who does that? ♥
After watching each other for years, memorizing everything they do, and the intensity of their sexual tension, it's time for K.C. and Jax to give it a shot.

I don't know how the author did it, but she was able to pull complicated obstacles not only for K.C. and Jax, but also for the rest of the gang. The story is more than a love story between lost souls. It captures the core of fate and how magical love is when two different worlds collide. It is a story of pain, loss, hope, and love that embodies real real emotion. The character development between the hero and the heroin is very evident and both of them became an agent of change for each other. They both matured into something deep, sensual, and responsible adults.

This book really emotional and you will realize the true value of family, friendship, and love. Falling Away has a preview of what is happening between Tate and Jared, and Madoc and Fallon's love story which would totally shock you and will want to make you read the next book (To be released this 2015).

They thought it was just a summer fling. But K.C. (or should I say Juliet?) and Jax were wrong, it is so much more than that.
